hot new opening

Rosewood Luang Prabang / Laos

It is our great pleasure to present this stunning new entry.

Camouflaged among rainforests and waterfalls, the 23 villas and tented suites are inspired by the country’s temples and colonial hill stations, with lavish interiors that blend antiques from Indochina and tribal textiles.

Decked in distinctive patterns and textiles, each tent pays homage to a different Laotian hill tribe, who still inhabit the region. Intimate details recreate the ambience of fin-de-siècle Indochina, from vintage cameras to outdoor wooden bathtubs.

Everything is steeped in authentic local culture. Seasonal dishes are influenced by the cuisine of the royal courts. Traditional Hmong therapies are performed by native healer Mr. Xong, who forages for medicinal herbs in the surrounding rainforest.

Though it feels deliciously remote, the resort is only a 10-minute drive from 14th-century Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. At the confluence of the Mekong and Nam Khan rivers, Luang Prabang is a tranquil trove of colonial architecture, gilded temples, and superb French-Laotian cuisine.

Rosewood Luang Prabang is also home to the first hospitality school in Laos, a philanthropic project for local students. The impeccable staff couldn’t set a better example.
