Mo' MoMA From its emblematic inauguration in 1929, the iconic Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) on Manhattan’s West 53rd St with time outgrew its building thanks to its ever-growing volume of art and visitors that it could no longer house. After years of temporary solutions, it recently expanded by 47,000 sq feet, and at a cost of $450million to a brand-new imposing building of glass and light.
