Zagorohoria

High in the Pindos Mountains, the 48 villages called Zagorohoria are remote lookouts from which to survey the splendour of one of Greece's most spectacular national parks. Cosy inns built of wood and slate are hidden in the untamed landscape, an excellent base for hiking the Vikos Gorge, kayaking down the Voidomatis river, or meandering through lush ravines crossed by stone bridges.
