ITINERARY

DAY 1
BRINDISI
Arrive in Brindisi and check-in at a charming hotel for one night at leisure.
DAY 2
OTRANTO
Drive down the coast to the starting point of your first ride, the old town of Otranto. Enjoy a seaside welcome lunch and explore this picturesque town before hopping on your bike for an afternoon ride along one of the prettiest coastlines of the Mediterranean, leading you to the hotel. Dinner is catered just for you at a nearby 12th century castle, in the company of local musicians who will serenade you with traditional, Greco-Salento songs.
DAY 3
OTRANTO
Today is a free-flowing day. Set off, past prehistoric menhirs, around 8th century Byzantine crypts, and through quaint towns that once protected the natives from Turkish invasions, to reach the coast again. Pedal as few or as many seaside miles as you want, choose a scenic cliff-side grotto to explore, then pause for lunch in the panoramic port-town you fancy most or take the challenge of riding all the way to the southernmost tip of western Europe. Up the coast, through the quiet hinterland, return to the hotel, where a local wine expert will introduce you to the region’s up and coming wines before enjoying a family-style, traditional dinner.
DAY 4
LECCE
Meander through the charming historic towns of the Graecia Salentina on your way north. Stop for an exclusive visit inside a "frantoio ipogeo", an underground olive oil mill, and taste the local, award-winning olive oil. Keep on biking to a tiny masseria, just outside Lecce, for a “slow food” lunch experience in one of the region’s more intimate settings. The afternoon ride brings you to the thriving city of Lecce, a great example of Spanish Baroque in Italy. Go on an expert-led tour of the historic center of Lecce.
DAY 5
OSTUNI
Drive to the town of Ostuni, the "White City", and stroll around its whitewashed winding alleys. Bike towards an amazing lunch spot, set amidst ancient olive groves. Get back on two wheels and coast through rolling vineyards and groves for a while, followed by a stretch alongside the aquamarine Adriatic to the hotel. Tonight enjoy the freshest catch of the day at a best-loved local restaurant.
DAY 6
ALBEROBELLO
After a short drive to the rolling countryside overlooking the Valle d’Itri, embark to one of the most beautiful stretches of Puglia. Next stop is Alberobello, the “city of trulli,” with its idiosyncratic buildings, that are the most distinctive feature of Puglia. Come to know this unique town before continuing onto a local caseifi-cio (dairy) located just outside Locorotondo for a mozzarella-making demonstration, and a an amazing cheese tasting.
Day 7
BARI
Drive to Bari airport for your return flight home.
