ITINERARY

Day 1
Ho Chi Minh City
Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City, a dynamic city that rarely sleeps, and settle-in at the hotel for tonight. Get ready for the adventure that is on the way.
Day 2
Embarkation - Cruise day 1
Head off to My Tho dock and hop on the luxury cruise boat that will be your home for the next five days. Embark on a magnificent journey along the Mekong river, get off to visit small towns and picturesque villages. On board, enjoy amazing food, lie on your day-bed, take in the beauty of nature and the faraway cultures along the way, and listen to the sounds the Mekong.
Day 3
Cruise Day 2
Begin the day visiting Binh Thanh mat-weaving village, or opt to visit Sa Dec, and look through the vibrant market to find the famous house of Marguerite Duras' legendary lover, Mr. Huynh Thuy Le. In the afternoon, visit a typical Mekong Delta village called My An Hung, and walk through verdant plantations. Be invited to a local home to taste delicious, locally grown fruits, and let the sounds of traditional folk songs performed by villagers, fill you with vigorous energy! A unique unicorn dance is the best way to finish off this fascinating day.
Day 4
Cruise Day 3
Explore Bassac Canal by skiff, and stop to visit Chau Doc floating market. Drive to Long Son Pagoda atop Sam Mountain, to meet the monks and learn about their practices. Return to the boat, or alternatively, opt for one of the various available activities: an 18-kilometer bike ride on Long Khanh Island or a rickshaw ride to visit Tan Chau Market with a chef. After lunch, relax by the pool, try a traditional Khmer massage or learn to cook Mekong inspired dishes while you cross the border to Cambodia.
Day 5
Cruise Day 4
Admire dexterous Khmer artisans dyeing and weaving kroma, the ubiquitous item no Khmer lives without. Additionally, you may choose to explore the riverbank on two wheels, past Buddhist temples and thatched houses, perched on spindly wooden stilts, while white oxen wade just offshore. After lunch, board a skiff and head towards the tamarind trees of Preah Prosop, a remote village that has remained unchanged through the decades.
Day 6
Cruise Day 5 - Disembarkation - Siem Riep
Time to say goodbye to your fellow cruise mates, as you disembark at Phnom Penh. Explore the city before taking a domestic flight to Siem Riep. Nestled between rice paddies and stretched along the Siem Reap River, the small provincial capital of Siem Reap Town serves as the gateway to the millennium-old temple ruins of the Khmer Empire. This afternoon, discover the unique architectural monuments of the Khmer civilization. After dinner, stroll around the unique Angkor Night Market.
Day 7
Siem Riep
Visit the iconic Angkor Wat. Symbol of the soul of the Khmer people, Angkor Wat is well known for the more than 2,000 Apsara dancers decorating the temple. In the afternoon, head to the ancient city of Angkor Thom, surrounded by an 8m high wall, forming a perfect square around the temple. Continue to Bayon Temple, a 12th century masterpiece.
Day 8
Luang Prabang
Take an international flight to Luang Prabang. Explore the city through a unique architectural walking tour. Discover the fascinating cultural heritage, and the masterful examples of both colonial and Laotian architecture in the charming streets of Luang Prabang. For the last night of this amazing trip, a fabulous dinner lays in store.
Day 9
Luang Prabang
If you wish to participate in one of the most sacred Lao traditions, the Buddhist Alms Giving Ceremony, be ready to wake up "at-the-crack-of-dawn", and make your very personal offering to the monks that pass by. Return to the hotel for breakfast, and drive to the airport to take your departure flight home.
