ITINERARY

Day 1
Bakgkok
Arrive in Bankgok and spend the night at the airport hotel in order to catch your early flight to Paro.
Day 2
Thimphu
Arrive in Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital, and check-in at an all-inclusive luxury resort. Explore the area or, alternatively, opt for a mild hike to take in stunning views. End the day with an Ayurvedic hot-oil head massage.
Day 3
Thimphu
Go on a morning hike to Cheri Goemba monastery. On the way back visit the 16th- century Pangri Zampa. Back in town, explore the capital’s cottage industries and make your own stamp at the post office. After lunch, visit the Trashi Chhoe Dzong, discover the Takin animal sanctuary or opt for playing a round of nine holes at Thimphu Golf Club. In the evening, relax at the resort or choose to meet with the Mynak Trulku, who will answer all your Buddhism questions.
Day 4
Punakha
Head off to the famous Dochu La and Punakha Valley. On the way, marvel at Simtokha Dzong, and at ancient wall paintings at the Hongtsho Goemba. Reach the 3,050m mountain pass, listen to the healing silence, and get lost in the view of towering himalayan peaks. After picnic lunch, continue on to Punakha, to visit Chimi Lhakhang, the auspicious fertility monastery. In the evening, check-in at a Punakha luxury resort, rest or opt for a rejuvenating wellness session.
Day 5
Punakha
Start the morning with a hike to the famous Khamsum Yuelley Namgyal Chorten, and visit the impressive Punakha Dzong, the greatest dzong in Bhutan. In the afternoon, either relax, completely at your own pace, or choose one of the available activities: an archery session or a cooking class to learn how to make momos, traditional dumplings, and the famous ema datse.
Day 6
Paro
Across the impressive Dochu-La pass, the road takes you to Paro. Enjoy lunch before settling in at an all-inclusive luxury resort that will make your stay unforgettable. In the afternoon, stroll across open fields and past village houses, sit down by the big prayer wheel and relax. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 7
Paro
Begin the day with a visit to the National Museum. Marvel at Paro Dzong, a fine example of historic Bhutanese architecture, then cross Nyamai Zampa, a traditional cantilever bridge, to the town temple. After lunch, visit the uniquely shaped Dumtse Lhakhang to view the beautifully preserved wall paintings. Stroll the main street in Paro and explore its tiny shops full of traditional Himalayan artefacts and wonderful textiles.
Day 8
Paro
In the morning, hike up to the breathtaking, iconic Taktsang Goemba. Clinging to a cliff, 3.120 meters above sea level, Tiger's Nest Monastery, as it is otherwise known, is uniquely located among majestic mountains and emerald, lush green valleys. After lunch in the lodge, drive to Paro town to see the famous twin temples of Kyichu Lhakhan, and, optionally, participate in a Buddhist, butter-lamp lighting tradition. In the evening, spoil yourself by soaking in a hot stone Bath and enjoying a Tibetan Ku Nye massage. Unwind and meditate on all that you have experienced the past days of this life-altering journey.
Day 9
Paro
Drive to the airport and take your departure flight home.
